New e-learning modules and nursing operations (VTH)

Renewal

The modules have a fresh new look and meet the latest Vilans KICK protocols. Each module has its own library with videos, quick reference cards (QRCs) and animations. This material can also be used during classroom sessions.

A VTH Basic module

New in our setup is the VTH Basic module. This module covers all generic information that forms the basis for the other modules. This prevents unnecessary repetition.

The new e-learning modules

Half of the modules will be ready next month! The modules have been developed for carers and nurses. You can choose the level at the start of each module. The modules have been restructured and have a uniform didactic structure with orientation, acquisition, processing and perpetuation of the technical nursing procedures. Through videos, steps, casuistry and recognizable icons you go through every action. The information is transferred in an alternating way, is interactive and provided with audio and video. You conclude each module with a final test.

Planing

All modules will be completed before the end of this year. Then more will follow! Think of generic actions on the bed, such as lifting training or changing a bed

Content2GO microlearnings

In addition to the modules, microlearnings will follow in the long term: compact refresher courses per nursing operation that have been specially developed for smartphone and tablet and that are available throughout the year. Practical Sessions

The modules provide a good basis in knowledge and understanding of nursing technical procedures. As an organization you can of course provide your own practical sessions. You can also arrange this via PlusPort. PlusPort has a close collaboration with the Training Center in Leiden. The Training Center is accredited and provides practical tests at every level for both private groups and individual participants. The Training Center has the expertise, the spaces and a very extensive range of materials to practice with.
