General Data Protection Regulation

May 25, 2018 is the day! The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) will start to apply. The AVG is also known under the English name: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). . This means that from 25 May 2018 the same privacy legislation will apply throughout the European Union (EU). The Personal Data Protection Act (Wbp) will then no longer apply.

The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) applies to all companies (self-employed, small and large) that process personal data. Personal data includes, among other things, keeping track of customer appointments, customer telephone numbers, but especially personnel information. Because of the AVG, the responsibility lies with your organization to demonstrate that you are complying with the law.

This is the accountability.

This means that organizations must be able to demonstrate by means of documents that the correct organizational and technical measures have been taken to comply with the regulation. The AVG also offers organizations instruments to comply with the law. For example, model provisions for the transfer of personal data.

The improper or unsafe handling of personal data can cause sensitive personal data to end up in the hands of unauthorized persons, with all its consequences.

PlusPort itself is completely ready, we are now on the eve of our ISO 27001 audit. Because our employees also have to comply with the above because of the delivery of our LMS Academy and SafetyPort RMS applications, we have developed standard training:Data Security Awareness voor zowel medewerkers als leidinggevenden. We also offer these training courses as an attractive form of subscription for your entire organization. The data is of course stored securely in your LMS Academy.

In addition to this standard training, it is of course possible to develop a customized AVG e-learning training based on and applied to your internal guidelines.
